Day Ten
Woke up first morning in Riding Mountain National Park and the rain must have stopped at some point during the night. After a bacon and eggs breakfast, we headed out to the Arrowhead Trail. It's a pretty straightforward 3.5km hike (not much up and down) which was a good thing considering how wet everything was. Nice forest and meadow trail, but other than birds, no wildlife. Picnicked at Katherine Lake. Returned to campsite. Margot went to the Loondromat and K/B/S played a few games. Had supper and played another game (Bang!) with the Dodge City expansion (definitely improves the game). The outlaws (Margot and Brenna) won. We all needed a bit of a day off, so this worked out nicely. Packed up the kitchen tent and went to bed early serenaded by the White Throated Sparrow.
