Day Twenty Eight

Drove north along the Fraser Canyon. Stopped at the Alexandra Bridge picnic area. Walked down to the Alexandra Bridge and crossed over to the other side. From there we drove up to Hell's Gate and saw the Fraser River from up close. We learned about the salmon's swim up the fraser. We went on the AirTram and it was (depending on who you ask):

• scary


• fun


• windy

Next stop was to go past Hope to the Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park where there is a hike that goes through the old train tunnels. Unfortunately, the tunnels were closed due to rock falls. We were too intimidated by the "blasting in the area" signs to proceed to the mouth of the caves.

Last stop of the day was in Hope. They have a municipal park with enormous trees and surrounded by lots of excellent chain-saw carvings. Then back to the site to prepare dinner and for tomorrow's departure.
