Day Twenty Seven
Got on the road at 8:30 for a "business day" of driving. We stopped at Mount Robson. The top of the mountain was obscured by cloud, but that's pretty normal. The weather was good. Next major stop was outside Kamloops where we had a good view of Kamloops Lake. It was very hazy there and much warmer and drier there. Last stop was our campsite at Emory Creek Provincial Park in the Fraser Valley.
Our drive for the day started near the mouth of the Fraser River and then followed the path of the Thompson River until it joined the Fraser and then down the TransCanada along the Fraser River. We went through six tunnels on that stretch of highway. Campsite was right along the Fraser river (below one set of busy train tracks and across the river from another). The park has rain-forest like conditions (tall trees and lots of moss).
