Day Twenty
Not much to tell about June 22. Got off a bit late. Drove to Banff and arrived around 2:30. Saw a bit of Banff itself, then drove to camp. Got a really nice campsite near the Johnston Creek (near Johnston Canyon). The girls spent time exploring around the creek while we got set up and prepared dinner. Went to bed early.
Trains have been a recurring theme here in the west. We saw lots of trains in the Prairies. In the rockies all these wonderful tourist areas were first developed by the railroad. As a result our camp ground we chose was also on a train track. We hear trains and whistles at least every 2 hours during the day and many times at night. You soon sleep right through the thunder.
