Day Twenty Nine

Today was a light travel day. We packed up camp and headed for the area of the Hope slide. Saw the area that the slide devestated, but Margot thought there are a more trees than when we were here in 1986.

Next stop was Vancouver. After getting checked in, we went out for dinner (had a good meal at Milestones) and then drove around a bit. Drove through Stanley Park, over the Lion's Gate bridge and around West Vancouver. The GPS navigation has been a real blessing in Vancouver as they have little in the way of highways.

We had thought that we might take in some Canada Day festivities, but we didn't really know where to find any and the girls were too tired to stay up for fireworks.

Isn't it amazing to think that you were in Vancouver for Canada Day. We were too tired to see the fireworks here too! By the way, keep those great bridge shots coming.

Congratulations on reaching the West coast. You seem to be having such a great time. Keep the reports and photos coming - they are really great and give us poor stay-at-homes a taste of your adventure! Martin
